Rolled Leather Half Check Collar

This collar is hand rolled using best quality Sedgwick bridle leather. Traditionally rolled collars are used to prevent the collar marking the fur of long haired breeds, although we find that  owners of short haired breeds often use them as an elegant alternative to a flat leather collar as well. We offer either a 3/4" or 1" version. The 3/4" version has a slimmer profile, particularily where the collar and chain meet and is particularily suitable for smaller breeds. The 1" is slightly thicker and will suit dogs from medium size upward.

We are able to make these collars with either solid brass or solid stainless steel fittings, just as with our flat leather half check collars. Brass makes for a smart, distinctive collar, is the traditional metal of choice of the saddlery trade and will never rust. We also have a Stainless Steel option to address the needs of owners of show dogs or dogs with white hair who have found that brass chain leaves a grey mark on the coat. Unlike many widely available brands our chain and fittings are solid Stainless steel (not nickel or chrome plate over iron), so will never rust.

The collar is made to measure to the exact size you require so there are no bulky buckles or keepers around your dogs neck. If you require an adjustable half check collar we have a very popular example here.

Typically these collars are used in conjunction with a plain collar when the dog is walking on a lead, for training purposes etc.
