Countrymans Belt

The Countrymans (or Womans) Belt is a rare and useful design of utility belt handmade from the very best bridle leather -  Sedgwicks 3.5 - 4mm bridle butt, hand cut, finished and stitched using brass fittings to make a unique item that will last a lifetime given correct care, and can double as many things other than a belt when the need arises. The belt is designed to be extremely adjustable, from approx 28" to approx. 50" long. The belt is of great use to the outdoorsman or traveller as it can be used for many, many additional functions, such as

• A dog lead
• A lead rope
• A neck strap
• A suitcase holder together when overfull or when the catch has broken
  
• A strap for securing loads in car boots or to car seats (not good with side airbags!)
• A strap always available for emergency saddlery repairs
  
• An ideal present if you are unsure of the recipients waist size due to the huge range of adjustment each belt has.
  
• Many, many other things

The Countrymans belt is made from a 3/4" strap of Sedgwick bridle leather hand cut, prepared, stitched and finished to our usual standards. We can make these up to your size requirements, although the standard size is very very adjustable.
