The Medium Weight Lined and Raised belt is made using a lighter weigh J&E Sedgwick leather with the same Bridle leather finish and colour range to our standard leathers. The belt is designed for those wanting a belt that is substantial but still suitable for more formal wear with suits and other lighter weight wear. The edges of these belts are c. 3 3/4mm and the centre of the belt is around 5mm - a good compromise that gives the majority of the feel of substance, support and durability of the Original Lined and Raised with greater flexibility, both literally and in the trouser styles it will sit comfortably with. The Medium weight is available with a number of customisations available to help you design your perfect belt. In addition to a wide range of colours, widths and buckle choices we offer a number of stitching variations from the classical low contrast discreet stitching we use as standard to a wider pitch high contrast stitching that highlights our hand stitching and produces a bold detail. Part of the experience and fun of a truly bespoke product is taking part in the design process and owning a product that not only reflects the craftsman's work but also your own input into the design and we actively encourage you to get in touch to work through the design options available to you either before or after purchase. One of the many areas we pay special attention to is the construction of the keepers. The Lined and Raised Belt comes with 2 keepers, one fixed by the buckle as with all of our belts, and one running free to keep the tail of the belt held neatly in place. The keepers are cut slightly wider than our standard keeper to compliment the overall design and in addition we case and block the keepers and subtly ornament the face to produce an elegant finished item reminiscent of the best quality harness work of the 19th century. If you prefer we are able to make the second, running keeper captive, that is it has a keeper of its own so you have a broad range of movement but the keeper cannot fall off and be lost. By default we offer a choice of hand polished Nickel, Stainless Steel, Brass or our handcrafted solid Sterling Silver West End buckles. The Sterling Silver West End is individually cast for us to our pattern in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham and hand finished entirely by us before being hallmarked by Goldsmiths Assay Office in London. Should you wish you could use one of our other buckle ranges, please get in touch and we can discuss the options available Your belt will come with a complimentary tub of Sedgwick leather feed so you have the optimum care product to hand and will be packaged in one of our elegant presentation boxes in a bed of acid free jewelers tissue. In your parcel you will also find the Certificate of Authenticity of your belt signed and dated personally by the craftsman who made it. In addition those opting for a Sterling Silver buckle will also receive a complimentary tub of Renaissance Wax to care for the finish of their buckle. All in all a package fit for a belt of the quality it encloses. We are able to make your belt either entirely from one of the colours listed below, or in any combination of face, lining and keeper colour that you choose, unless you choose London Tan which must be used with other elements of London Tan. Each belt is made to measure for you and will come with 7 holes, giving you 6 inches of adjustment. Please see our measuring guide to help ensure you select the correct size. As this belt is thicker than our unlined range we recommend you order 1/2" larger than for our standard belt range - please leave us a note in the Comments box of the checkout if this is a size you cant see below. Our colour range can be seen here, and further details of the craft underlying the making of your belt can be found here.
