Here at Equus we have always strived to make the very best leathergoods we can. Every day we want what we make to be better than what we made the day before, and this process of continual improvement has allowed us to produce what we hope are some of the finest leathergoods available. To do this we have necessarily developed and refined our techniques and knowledge across a lot of the areas that leather work covers, and we’d like to share the knowledge we’ve built up. We have always promoted the art and craft of leatherwork thorough our videos and social media channels and we’re now offering one on one training to people who wish to hone their skills, develop their business or product ideas, or simply to those who love leather craft.
Starting in 2022 we are offering bespoke training packages of between one and five days in our purpose built training room covering all the aspects of leatherwork where we have expertise. We can build a course for you that focuses on specific techniques, for example saddle stitch and edge finishing, or that focuses one one or more of the product ranges that we make, for example watch straps, briefcases or belts. Courses are one on one basis with the full attention of Charlie throughout the day. The courses will show you the techniques, tools and methods we use for production in the workshop and can help you rapidly develop your skills by identify areas you can improve in your current techniques, showing you the correct way if you are starting from scratch, and by helping you avoid the mistakes inevitable if you teach yourself. Youtube videos (especially ours!) are a great resource to help you learn, but nothing can beat having the full attention of a world class leather worker helping you to perfect your techniques.
Make 2022 the year you kickstart your leatherwork with Equus! Get in touch and we can build a course that helps you achieve your objectives, personal or professional.
